2. Charlie’s Animal Rescue Centre – CARE
helps with Rescue, adoption, and medical care of cats and dogs in need. They have been helping stray dogs of Bengaluru for a while now. Ace illustrator Alicia Souza also adopted her furry best friend from them.

3. Government Veterinary hospitals in Bangalore
From what the volunteers have told us, it is always good to tell Bangalore pet hospitals (govt. facilities) that you are from a media house, this makes them take up the case with diligence. (Many of them may not be as empathetic to the cause as you.)

4. CARTMAN Society – Centre for Action, Research, Technology for Man, Animals and Nature
have a Vet clinic and animal shelter but they don’t have an ambulance service hence you’d have to take the injured animal to the centre for any kind of treatment.

7. VOSD – The Voice of Stray Dogs
The Voice of Stray Dogs or VOSD is a 7-year-old non-profit which works towards caring for dogs in every kind of distress. They also built India’s first canine blood bank.
