At TherPUP in Whitefield your dog gets in free and you pay a ₹250 cover that goes towards your own food. The staff at the gate want proof of her distemper, parvo and rabies shots (a photo of the card is fine), and if she is in heat she stays home. Her menu runs from sweet potato at ₹179 to a chicken and brown rice stew at ₹279, and there are 14 resident dogs waiting to meet her.
That is the kind of detail you need before you pick from the pet-friendly cafes in Bangalore. A place can carry a “pet friendly” tag on a booking app and still keep big dogs off the floor, seat you on the terrace only, stop letting dogs in after 7 pm on a Friday, or turn away a Boxer. So for every cafe below we’ve listed the house rules we could find, grouped by area, and checked each one against its own website or a booking listing that was live on 10 October 2026.
Two rules before you go. Call ahead on a first visit, especially with a large indie, because several of these cafes decide at the door. And carry your dog’s vaccination card on your phone; the dog-first cafes ask for it, and the others may.

Cafes built around dogs
TherPUP, Whitefield. On Kaithota Road in Nagondanahalli, with indoor and outdoor seating, off-leash play areas and a pool. Its house rules, last updated in January 2026, are the clearest we found: a ₹250 cover per person that you can spend on food, dogs free, vaccination proof at the gate, off-leash only if your dog behaves, and no aggressive dogs or females in heat.
Swimming is extra, and the dog shouldn’t have eaten in the two hours before. The dog menu has about ten priced dishes, from scrambled eggs at ₹199 to a non-alcoholic “dog beer” at ₹299. A second TherPUP on Sarjapur Road runs day visits and stays from 9 am to 9 pm; we couldn’t find its rules written down separately, so ask.
The Pet People Cafe, HSR Layout. In Shree Arcade on 19th Main, Sector 4, open 9 am to 10 pm, with a plant-based menu for you and a treat menu for your dog. There’s no charge for pets and the outdoor seating is the pet zone. If your dog is medium or large, check the size policy before you go. There are no resident dogs here, so it’s a cafe for the dog you bring.
Mighty Paws Cafe & Bakery, Kasavanahalli. Off Sarjapur Road in KPC Layout, Junnasandra, with a lawn, a small fenced play space, bakery treats safe for dogs and the occasional dog yoga class. Three recent listings give three different opening times, so call before you set out.
Indiranagar, Defence Colony and Bellary Road
Nandan Coffee, Embassy One. The newest cafe on this list, opened in spring 2026 on Bellary Road, open 8 am to 10 pm. It has a laminated dog menu: the Pup Cup (frozen banana, peanut butter and yoghurt), eggs on sourdough with no salt or oil, and probiotic yoghurt bowls. Prices aren’t published.
Toit, 100 Feet Road. The brewpub has the most specific rules on this list after TherPUP. Dogs are welcome any time from Sunday to Thursday, but only until 7 pm on Friday and Saturday, and only in the pet sections. You book online, a day ahead on weekdays and two days ahead at weekends.
The Reservoire, HAL 2nd Stage. Calls itself a pet-friendly bar. Dogs are allowed on the third and fourth floors with no pet fee.
Eddy’s Cafe, Defence Colony. A neighbourhood cafe that says it loves “the furry ones a little more than food”, with an outdoor area for dogs and water on request. It’s closed on Mondays and open 8 am to 7 pm on weekdays, 9 am to 8 pm at weekends. There’s no dog menu.
Also in Indiranagar. Cafe Grey by Dongle & Co (patio and balcony, keeps some pet food), Yogisthaan on 60 Feet Road (calm, good for a dog who naps), Daffy’s Brewgarden (lawn and rooftop), Copper + Cloves and the newer Kind Roastery on 12th Main all carry live pet-friendly tags. None of them publishes rules. Bohemians is tagged too, but some reviewers say it wasn’t welcoming, so call first.

Koramangala and HSR Layout
The Hole in the Wall Cafe, 4th Block. Open 8 am to 9 pm. There’s no charge for dogs and calm, small dogs are preferred; large breeds are up to the staff on the day. One booking site lists it as pet friendly and another doesn’t, which tells you why calling matters.
Oyster Bar & Kitchen, HSR Sector 7. A rooftop with the most detailed priced pet menu we found outside TherPUP: boiled egg and rice for ₹199, chicken and rice for ₹275, up to a chicken bowl at ₹375. The catch is that it’s for small dogs and cats only, so this isn’t the place for a big indie.
The Faith Cafe, HSR Sector 4. A small vegan cafe tagged pet friendly, open until 11:30 pm, with no published rules.
Jayanagar and JP Nagar
Shokudo, Jayanagar 4th Block. Upstairs on 11th Main. Dogs are welcome indoors at no charge and get a water bowl, but Boxers and Bulldogs aren’t allowed, and large dogs should call ahead.
Thelagram, JP Nagar 4th Phase. Indoor and outdoor seating, a pet corner with carpets and toys, and a kitchen that will cook something plain for your dog if you ask. Thelagram is also the one cafe on this list that hosts weekend adoption drives and pet bazaars, which is worth knowing if you’re thinking about a second dog. Open noon to 1 am.
Also in JP Nagar. Uru Brewpark has a large outdoor area and Klayworkz Barista an outdoor patio, and both carry pet-friendly tags. Neither publishes rules.
Cafes we left off, and why
Snoopy Paws Cafe in Kannur has a fenced lawn and resident rescues. As of October 2026 one booking platform marks it permanently closed while other listings still show opening hours, so ring them before you drive out. Ella’s Petscape on Sarjapur Road was reported closed in 2021 with no sign of reopening. Raasta is in Ramanagara on the Mysuru highway, not in Bengaluru.
Tails of the City in Indiranagar is a grooming salon, not a cafe. And for a dozen more names (Urban Solace, Green Theory, Communiti, Art of Delight and others), we found nothing after 2023 to confirm they still welcome dogs.
If you know any of these are open and dog friendly, tell us and we’ll check and add them.
Rules worth knowing before you go out
Bengaluru has no city-run dog park. Cubbon Park is still the big central green where you can walk a dog on a leash of up to six feet, with a scoop and the vaccination record on you, under guidelines set after the Karnataka High Court took up the issue in 2021. Lalbagh doesn’t allow pets at all. Most neighbourhood parks keep dogs out too. For more room, Central Park and Neralu Organic Orchards are worth the drive, and our guide to dog parks in India has the city’s private off-leash parks.
The Greater Bengaluru Authority has drafted pet licensing rules that would cost ₹500 a year, or ₹50 for an Indian dog. They weren’t in force when we last checked, and our dog licence guide will say when they are.
Bring an indie
A few of these cafes cap dog size, so a big adopted indie does best at places that publish no size limit, such as TherPUP, Toit and Thelagram. If you’re thinking about adopting, the dogs and cats up for adoption in Bengaluru are listed by the people who rescued them, and the Bengaluru animal helpline page has the city’s shelters and emergency numbers.

Last checked 10 October 2026.
