Pet-Friendly Cafes in Pune: Rules, Dog Menus and Closures (2026)

At The Daily All Day in Koregaon Park, your dog is welcome at the outdoor tables, but only until 6 pm. A few lanes away at The Pet Cafe, she can run off the leash on three floors with resident dogs and cats, and reviewers say you’ll pay a cover of about ₹500 a head that goes towards your food. Both are “pet friendly”, and they mean very different afternoons.

Several pet-friendly cafes in Pune have shut. Cafe Joshua in Aundh, Fat Cat’s in Wanowrie and Two’s and Four’s in Baner are all permanently closed. That’s why, for each cafe below, we’ve listed where your dog can sit and any rules or dog menu we could find, with evidence dated 2025 or 2026. Everything was last checked on 10 October 2026.

Call ahead on a first visit, especially with a big dog, and keep the vaccination card on your phone.

Koregaon Park and Kalyani Nagar

The Pet Cafe, Lane 4. A dog-themed cafe on North Main Road with separate sections for dogs and cats across three levels, resident animals, grooming and boarding. It also hosts adoption drives. Reviewers in 2026 report a cover charge of about ₹500 per person that you spend on food. The pet menu, gluten-free, includes pupsicles, chicken jerky and a pet-safe ice cream; no prices are published. Open 10 am to about 10 pm. One reviewer questioned how the resident dogs are kept, so look around and judge for yourself.

The Daily All Day, Lane 7. Near Meera Nagar, open from noon. Dogs sit in the outdoor section, and only until 6 pm. Bring a leash and a water bowl.

German Bakery, North Main Road. The Koregaon Park landmark has been welcoming dogs at its open-air tables for years, with water bowls. Open 7 am to 10 pm.

The French Window Patisserie, Lane 5. A row house with garden seating, open 9 am to 11 pm, and a 2026 review that simply says: “and there are dogs”.

The Flour Works, Kalyani Nagar and Baner. Garden seating, water bowls and a shelf of chew sticks and bones for dogs. Open 7 am to past midnight. The Baner branch is tagged pet friendly too.

Also here. The Real Green Café in Lane 6 has shaded outdoor tables and water bowls, Boho Boho will set up a table for you and your dog on request, and Elephant & Co. in Kalyani Nagar and Baner is tagged pet friendly.

Viman Nagar

Where Else Diner & Bar, Lunkad Sky Max. Indoor and outdoor seating under a sign that once read “pets welcome, humans tolerated”. It’s tagged pet friendly today, though we couldn’t confirm whether the old pet menu survives. Open from 11:30 am, and from 9:30 am at weekends.

Petfeast Café, Town Square. On New Airport Road, a pet bakery, shop and cafe with chicken rice, “pupcakes” and birthday cakes for dogs. It keeps shop hours: 9:30 am to 6:30 pm Monday to Saturday, and 9 am to 2 pm on Sunday.

Baner, Aundh and Bavdhan

The Rustle Nest, Baner. On the Baner-Mahalunge road, open 8 am to 10:30 pm. Dogs sit in the outdoor garden, water arrives without asking, and the kitchen will steam some chicken or vegetables if you ask. It’s the closest dependable cafe to the Baner-Pashan tekdi if you’re going for a hill walk first.

The Fat Labrador Café, Bavdhan. On DSK Ranwara Road, with resident dogs, an outdoor area for pets and staff who’ll make chicken soup or rice and egg on request. Listings disagree on whether it closes on Mondays, so check.

Cafe Peter, Baner. In Suyash Commercial Mall on Pancard Club Road, with outdoor seating where pets are welcome, open 9 am to 11 pm. Butter Brews Bistro in Model Colony sets out water bowls for dogs.

Kothrud and Camp

Hippie@Heart, Paud Road. Outdoor seating where the staff will put together a rice, chicken and vegetable bowl for your dog. Open from 12:30 pm to midnight.

Vohuman Café, Sassoon Road. The Irani cafe opposite Jehangir Hospital welcomes calm, leashed dogs at its outdoor tables. It isn’t a pet cafe, so keep it short.

Pimpri-Chinchwad

We found no PCMC cafe with written dog rules. A few places in Pimple Saudagar, Pimple Gurav and Wakad are tagged pet friendly on booking apps, including Love Town Cafe and Filament Bar, so call before you go. The PCMC dog park near Govind Chowk in Pimple Saudagar, opened in 2024, is the better bet for a run.

Cafes we left off, and why

Cafe Joshua in Aundh and Fat Cat’s Cafe in Wanowrie are permanently closed. Two’s and Four’s in Baner has also shut. Nine Lives on FC Road is a cat cafe, and no source says dogs may visit. For Yogi Tree, Prem’s, Terttulia and a dozen others, we found nothing from 2025 or 2026 to confirm they still welcome dogs. If you know any of them welcome dogs today, tell us and we’ll check.

Before you go: licences and hills

Pune Municipal Corporation licenses dogs and cats online through its citizen services portal, with a rabies certificate, address proof and a no-objection letter from your housing society. Pimpri-Chinchwad runs its own licence at ₹75 a year. Our dog licence guide has the details.

Pune’s real advantage is its hills. The tekdis at Baner-Pashan, Taljai, Vetal and Bavdhan are where many Pune owners take their dogs, and our guide to dog parks in India lists them along with day trips to Sinhagad and the Panshet backwaters. Go early, carry water and keep a leash on near other walkers.

Bring an indie

An adopted indie fits in at any of these tables, and a morning on the tekdi followed by breakfast at The Rustle Nest or Cafe Peter is a good first outing. If you’re thinking about adopting, the dogs and cats up for adoption in Pune are listed by the people who rescued them, and our page of Pune shelters and emergency helplines has the numbers to keep on your phone.
