Pet-Friendly Cafes in Mumbai: Where Your Dog Can Sit (2026)

At Zane’s Café in Lower Parel’s Todi Mill compound, the menu has a section called Canine Kitchen, with a lamb stew for your dog, and the floor upstairs is a pet spa with hot-tub baths and haircuts. Reviewers in 2026 describe it as “pet friendly, or rather pet first”. Most pet-friendly cafes in Mumbai offer much less than that, and several that welcomed dogs have since shut.

Out of the Blue in Khar is permanently closed. The Yoga House on Carter Road is closed for dining. One so-called dog cafe turns out to be a groomer, and another doesn’t let you bring your own dog at all. So for each cafe below we’ve listed where your dog can sit and any rules or dog menu we could find, with evidence dated 2025 or 2026. Everything was last checked on 10 October 2026.

Mumbai cafes are small and many seat dogs outside only, so call ahead with a big dog, and keep the vaccination card on your phone.

Bandra, Khar and Pali Hill

Stand By Coffee, Pali Hill. On 28th Road, open 7:30 am to 1 am, with verandas and wide pavements that suit big dogs. It’s tagged pet friendly on two booking platforms.

Subko, Mary Lodge. On Chapel Road in Ranwar Village, open 7:30 am to 10 pm. Dogs sit at the outdoor tables only, and there’s no dog menu.

The Bagel Shop, Pali Hill. On Pali Mala Road, open 9 am to midnight, with an outdoor patio tagged pet friendly. We couldn’t confirm whether it has a pet menu.

Doolally Taproom, Khar. In Multilink House next to Khar station. The brewery calls its taprooms places “where dogs drag their humans in”, and an October 2026 review mentions the pet-friendly feel. Open from 7 am at weekends.

Also in Bandra. Noa by The Nutcracker on Linking Road welcomes leashed dogs on its patio, Frozen Fun Gelato & Café on Pali Hill has a pet-friendly alfresco corner, and NOVA Artisan Gelato allows leashed pets. None of them publishes more than that.

Lower Parel and BKC

Zane’s Café, Todi Mill Compound. Open 7 am to 1 am, with dogs welcome indoors, water bowls, a Canine Kitchen section on the menu and a pet spa upstairs. Ask at the door whether dogs can be off the leash inside.

SAZ American Brasserie, Jio World Drive. Open noon to 11:30 pm, with room for a dog to lie down and outdoor seating. Its dog menu, made with Heads Up For Tails, includes a chicken stew called “I Chews You”, a buff and rice bowl and a prebiotic dog ice cream that changes daily. Prices aren’t published.

Seesaw, Jio World Drive. Alfresco seating with a water station for dogs and its own canine menu, open from 8:30 am. In 2022 it was dogs only, no cats; we couldn’t confirm that rule still holds.

Andheri, Versova and Lokhandwala

Leaping Windows, Versova. On Dr Ashok Chopra Marg, it seats dogs in its outdoor section only, on a leash. Open noon to 12:30 am.

Shelter by Javaphile, Versova. An open layout with a rooftop terrace on JP Road that has welcomed dogs, though its booking listing no longer carries a pet tag. Call first.

Woodside Inn, Oshiwara. Tagged pet friendly on a booking listing that was live in October 2026. Its old rule, dogs on weekdays until 6 pm, dates from 2022, so check.

Ohh My Dog Café, Lokhandwala. A cafe with resident rescue dogs, a pet store and a vet clinic, where you can also bring your own dog. When we checked, its booking listing showed it closed, along with a recent review raising concerns about the animals. Ring them before you go, and if anything worries you on a visit, say so.

Colaba and South Mumbai

Mag St., Colaba. On Mandlik Road, open 8 am to 11:30 pm, with dogs welcome in the outdoor area only. Kuckeliku Breakfast House in Colaba and Flurys near the Gateway have welcomed dogs too, but neither publishes rules.

Communion Café, CBD Belapur. On the D Y Patil University campus in Sector 15, with a large outdoor layout, open 9 am to 11 pm. In Kandivali, Magari Café lets dogs into its indoor seating, and in Chembur, The Bread Bar has outdoor tables where dogs are welcome.

Cafes we left off, and why

Out of the Blue in Khar is permanently closed. On Carter Road, The Yoga House is temporarily closed for dining, while The Little Door in Andheri has dropped its pet tag and The Happy Tails in Matunga turns out to be a groomer, not a cafe. Puppy Cuddles in Khar is a pay-by-the-hour session with resident dogs, and your own dog isn’t allowed in.

Cat Café Studio in Versova is for cats, and no source says dogs may visit. For Gostana, Zoo Bar, Moshe’s, Fetch! and several others, we found nothing after 2023 to confirm they still welcome dogs. If you know any of these welcome dogs today, tell us and we’ll check.

Rules worth knowing in Mumbai

The BMC requires a licence for every pet dog, applied for online on the MCGM portal with a rabies vaccination certificate and renewed every year; an unlicensed dog can be seized. Our dog licence guide has the details.

On Bandra Bandstand, the residents’ trust that maintained the promenade put up “No Pets” boards. In July 2026 the Maharashtra Maritime Board, which owns the promenade, said the trust was never allowed to bar pets and had the boards taken down. Juhu Pet Park, opposite the Novotel, opened in February 2025 and is the city’s beach-facing dog park, though it hasn’t published hours or rules. Our guide to dog parks in India has more.

Bring an indie

An adopted indie belongs at these tables as much as any pedigree dog. If you’re thinking about adopting, the dogs and cats up for adoption in Mumbai are listed by the people who rescued them, and our page of animal helplines in Mumbai has the numbers to keep on your phone.
