It kind of seems funny to hear a ‘Cat’ proclaiming his love for the dog 🙂  Not that I complain though.

Cat Stevens (now known as Yusuf Islam) is a singer-songwriter and musician who is known for his love of animals, including dogs. In fact, he has said in interviews that he has always been an animal lover and has had dogs as pets throughout his life. He has also been involved in various animal welfare causes and has spoken out about the importance of treating animals with kindness and respect.

This was Cat Stevens’ first released single and catapulted him to the bandwagon of fame. Stevens wrote the lyrics inspired by a dachshund he found tied to a post when he was young. When nobody claimed the dog, he took it home. The singer had found his best friend.
