Retirement for most of us conjures up an image of laying by the hammock or playing with grandchildren. Meet Eugene Bostick, an 80-year-old retiree in Texas, who spends his days operating the coolest train in the world. His homemade dog train takes rescued strays out for fun rides around the neighborhood and in the surrounding woods.
Eugene lives on a dead-end street in Fort Worth where many locals had abandoned their dogs behind. Eugene began adopting and taking them for rides with his tractor. Not only this, he took them to the vet to get them spayed and neutered. When the number of dogs increased, he welded some more bogies to accommodate the new passengers.
“Whenever the dogs hear me hooking the tractor up to it, man, they get so excited.”
