Calm as lakes that sleep, her gentle eyes have concealed more than I would ever know. Her calendar has more appointments than days, fine lines crisscrossed along the marginalia. Her eyes brave the storm of apathy that’s there in the world of humans and their hollow notions.
Mother to Shadow, Buddy, and Ginger and a band of homeless woofs, my sister hides her scars from me. With a smile reassuring as the sun which shines through her better half, I know she would still be the same.
When I walk beside her
I am the better man
When I look to leave her
I always stagger back again…
~Hard Sun, Eddie Vedder

Truly happy a family 🙂 I love the place the furry ones have in that family 🙂
And do I say ‘Thanks’for your beautiful words? ….It was lovely, the time we spent the other day. Ginger, Buddy and Shadow certainly were content to have you around…:O)
