The story
Location: Mankhurd, Mumbai (can travel nearby for drop-off) Hey everyone, I rescued this male cat 8 days ago with a maggot-infested tail wound. The vet has cleaned and treated the wound, and daily dressing (Betadine + spray + syrup) is ongoing. Current status: • Eating well on his own & litter trained. • Still weak and slightly wobbly on hind legs. • Extremely calm, gentle, and non-aggressive (doesn't scratch or bite even while cleaning wounds or touching paws/belly). Feels like a lost/abandoned pet. Why foster/adoption is needed: My friend cared for him for 7 days, but couldn't keep him further. I live in a very small space with 3 resident cats who are getting highly territorial and stressed. Keeping him 24/7 in a cage is slowing his recovery. I rescued this male cat 8 days ago with a maggot-infested tail wound. The vet has cleaned and treated the wound, and daily dressing (Betadine + spray + syrup) is ongoing.
Current status:
• Eating well on his own & litter trained.
• Still weak and slightly wobbly on hind legs.
• Extremely calm, gentle, and non-aggressive (doesn't scratch or bite even while cleaning wounds or touching paws/belly). Feels like a lost/abandoned pet.
Why foster/adoption is needed:
My friend cared for him for 7 days, but couldn't keep him further. I live in a very small space with 3 resident cats who are getting highly territorial and stressed. Keeping him 24/7 in a cage is slowing his recovery.
Looking for a temporary foster space or a permanent loving home (adoption) in Mumbai/Navi Mumbai. If fostering, I will provide his food, medicines, and supplies.
