A Gentle Senior Indie Who Has Waited Long Enough

The story
Leela is a seven-year-old indie girl. Gul’s family found her as a puppy with her sister under their building in New Delhi. Her sister was adopted within a year.
Then the family, an army family, had to move out of Delhi. Another family promised to take Leela home in 15 days, once their house renovation was done, so she went into paid boarding to wait. The 15 days turned into a month, then a year, then four years. The family kept delaying but never let go.

Today she’s in Gurgaon, where a friend is fostering her. She’s spayed, vaccinated and dewormed. She had liver trouble in the past, has improved, and is on a liver tonic now.
She’s quiet, affectionate and calm, and she has been good with kids and other dogs. No one has seen her with cats yet. In the photos she leans into a hand for a scratch and sleeps stretched out on a rug next to a black dog.

Gul would like her to go to a home in Delhi NCR, and is open to helping her move somewhere close in north India. Now that Leela is older, the family wants her settled in a permanent home rather than boarding.
