The story

Luca is a cat of three or four months in Bangalore, and the reason he is being rehomed is not Luca. It is the building.

He has slipped out of the flat several times. Last weekend he made it onto the street, where a neighbour found him among the dogs and carried him back. This week he got through to a grilled area, jumped to the ledge of the house opposite, and spent ten minutes trying to get back across a gap with nowhere to land. His rescuer watched the whole thing from the stairwell.

She lost a dog last year and a cat before that, and she has decided she cannot keep gambling on this one. Luca himself is litter trained, eats a mix of wet and dry food, and is playful, active and affectionate.
