Virat was found as a young pup, small, sick, and alone. Medicine, patience and time turned him into the healthy, tail-wagging boy he is today. He’s a seven-month-old Indie male in Pune: playful, happy, and deeply affectionate, and he gets along easily with other dogs. He’s fully vaccinated and neutered, healthy and ready for adoption. Update, 4 September: Two months on, Virat is still waiting. He’s about seven months old now, past the tiny-pup stage that first got people’s attention, and the rescuer says inquiries have slowed since. Update, 9 September 2026: Virat has now been in foster care for two months with no lead that has worked out. He is about to be moved to long-term boarding or a shelter if a home does not come through soon.
