Dog with Blog is a website about street animals in India. We publish adoption listings, lost and found reports, and writing about living with dogs and cats. These terms cover what you can expect from us and what we expect from you. They are short because the site is simple.
By using dogwithblog.in you accept them. If you do not, the site is free to leave.
What Dog with Blog is not
Read this part even if you skip the rest.
We are not a shelter, a rescue organisation, or an adoption agency. We do not house animals, transport them, or hand them over. What we run is a noticeboard: a rescuer posts an animal, we publish it so more people see it, and you contact the rescuer directly.
We are not a party to any adoption. We do not background-check adopters, verify rescuers, inspect homes, or confirm that an animal is healthy, vaccinated, sterilised, or the age or breed described. Every arrangement is between you and the other person. Meet in a public place, ask for veterinary records, and use your judgement the way you would with any stranger on the internet.
Nothing here is veterinary advice. Our health and behaviour articles are journalism, written to help you ask better questions. They are not a diagnosis and they do not replace a veterinarian. If an animal is unwell, call a vet. If it is an emergency, go now and read later.
Who can use the site
Reading is open to anyone. Submitting anything — a listing, a lost pet report, a comment — requires you to be 18 or older, or to have a parent or guardian’s permission. Indian data protection law treats everyone under 18 as a child, and we do not knowingly take submissions from children. More on that in our Privacy Policy.
There are no reader accounts and no paid subscriptions. Nothing on this site is behind a paywall and nothing ever asks you for card details. If a page appears to, it is not us — tell us about it.
Listings, lost pet reports and other submissions
Adoption listings are drawn from r/AdoptDontShopIndia, the subreddit we run, and from reports submitted through the site. When you post an animal there or here, you are asking us to publish it, including the contact details you provide.
- Everything you submit must be true. Do not misdescribe an animal’s age, health or temperament to move it faster.
- Only submit your own photographs and contact details, or someone else’s with their permission. Do not post a third party’s phone number.
- By submitting, you give us permission to publish, edit, resize, translate and share the material on this site and on our own social accounts. You keep ownership of it.
- Animals are not for sale here. No breeding, no rehoming for profit, no “adoption fees” that are purchase prices in disguise. Recovering documented veterinary costs is fine. Anything else gets removed.
- We may edit for clarity, decline, or remove any submission, and we do not have to explain why. Listing is free and stays free.
Want your listing or your number taken down? Email cat@dogwithblog.in and we remove it, no reason needed.
Comments and conduct
Comments are open on most articles and we would rather keep them that way. Do not post abuse, threats, spam, other people’s personal information, or anything unlawful. Do not use the site to harass a rescuer whose listing you disagree with. We remove comments and block people at our discretion, and we are not precious about it.
Our writing and photographs
The articles, photographs and design on this site belong to Dog with Blog or the people who made them.
You may link to us freely, quote a reasonable extract with attribution and a link, and share adoption listings anywhere that helps an animal find a home. Spreading a listing is the entire point of publishing it.
You may not republish whole articles, copy the site’s design, or bulk-extract the listings database for a commercial product or directory of your own. If you want to syndicate something properly, ask us. We usually say yes.
How the site is paid for
It is not, yet. Dog with Blog carries no advertising and takes no sponsorship. The costs come out of our own pockets. A Google AdSense tag sat in the page until 5 August 2026. It never served an advert, and it has been removed.
If that changes we will not choose the individual adverts you see, we will not endorse what is in them, and anything you buy from one is between you and that seller. Our Privacy Policy covers what advert data would be collected and how to opt out before it starts.
We are not paid to feature any animal, rescuer or shelter, and never have been.
Availability and liability
The site is provided as it is. We try to keep it accurate and online, and we cannot promise either. Listings go stale, rescuers change numbers, and information posted by other people may be wrong.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for what happens after you contact someone through this site, for any animal’s health, behaviour or history, for decisions taken on the basis of an article, or for loss caused by the site being down. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Links to other sites
We link to shelters, vets, government pages and Reddit threads because they are useful. We do not control them and we are not responsible for what they publish or collect.
Changes, law and contact
We update these terms when something real changes, and the date below moves with them. Continuing to use the site means you accept the current version.
These terms are governed by the law of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute.
