They turned up hungry, and the family cannot keep a third cat

The story
A calico mother cat, about a year old, turned up hungry at a home in North Bangalore. A week later she brought her kitten, an orange five-week-old who is curious, playful and starting to eat solid food. The kitten will be ready to adopt in three weeks.
The mother is super sweet, comfortable with all humans, playful and happy to relax. She is not yet neutered, and the family can help with that. The family can also handle the kitten’s vaccinations.
For now they are kept in a separate room, but they keep getting out and roaming the house. The family’s own male cat does not like them, the kitten especially. They cannot keep three cats and do not want the two to go to a shelter, so they would like someone to take both, or at least the kitten.
